Community Guidelines

We want Coworker.org to be a vibrant, safe space where the rights and voices of others are respected. Although we cannot guarantee that this will be true all of the time, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines when using our platform:

We’re big fans of workplace democracy. Everyone on Coworker.org has the right to express their point of view, even if it’s unpopular. But we do not allow hate speech — posting language that attacks an entire class of people has no place on Coworker.org. This typically includes, but is not limited to, speech that attacks or maligns a person or group based on their race, class, ethnic origin, color, national origin, religion, disability, sex, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Disagreement over the best solutions in a workplace is inevitable — even healthy! However, Coworker.org is not a platform for bullying, harassment or defamation. Predatory behavior, stalking, threats, inciting violence and/or other forms of bullying are not tolerated.

Also, don’t impersonate others on the site. Be yourself! Read our FAQ to understand more about why we ask people to use their real names.

No one likes a spammer. Using Coworker.org to collect personal information, advertise products or services, or engage in other spam-like behavior is not allowed.

This goes without saying, but don’t break the law. You may not use Coworker.org for any illegal purpose or activity. Make sure that your use of Coworker.org doesn’t violate the laws of your jurisdiction (in particular laws concerning intellectual property).

Please respect everyone’s privacy. Don’t post private information on Coworker.org. This includes the personal employment information of others, home addresses, private telephone numbers, or photographs of people in private settings shared without their explicit consent.
